Theresa (pronounced-THA-Resa) is the founder and CCO (Chief Creative Officer) of In Time Creative Counseling Services (In Time CCS). Theresa obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development and Family Life at Indiana State University and her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University.  She currently holds a license in mental health counseling (LMHC) and also has the following certifications---National Certified Counselor and Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and Crisis Management. In addition, Theresa also has clinical training in creative/expressive arts and also has her RDT (Registered Drama Therapist) Certification from the North American Drama Therapy Association and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and a Certified Addiction Counselor (CADAC IV)

 

Theresa has been a counselor for the past 13+ years and some of her experiences include working in the Indiana State prison system and with community mental health agencies for youth and adults ranging from ages 3-78 with various levels of functioning. She uses the following techniques in sessions; CBT, DBT, Solution-focused, Brief Therapy and/or expressive arts to help client reach their desired goals.

She has a love for writing and the arts. She has written, directed, and produced multiple plays in various cities in Indiana. She enjoys teaching or conducting mental health seminars. Theresa has taught various seminars such as (Deadly Addictions in the Church, Speak Life: Suicide Prevention for the faith-based community, Depression & Suicide in Teens; Crisis Management for Youth Workers, How to Handle Irate clients (workplace seminar), and more.

Theresa is passionate about working with youth and families and bringing an innovative therapy modality to the Wabash Valley (e.g. Drama Therapy & Creative Arts Therapy)
