Theresa (pronounced-THA-Resa) is the founder and CCO (Chief Creative Officer) of In Time Creative Counseling Services (In Time CCS). Theresa obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development and Family Life at Indiana State University and her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University.  She currently holds a license in mental health counseling (LMHC) and also has the following certifications---National Certified Counselor and Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and Crisis Management. In addition, Theresa also has clinical training in creative/expressive arts and is a RDT (Registered Drama Therapist). She is a BCT (Board Certified Trainer) and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and a Certified Clinical Addiction Counselor (CADAC IV)

 

Theresa has been a counselor for the past 16+ years and some of her experiences include working in the a high security prison and in an community mental health agencies with youth and adults with various levels of functioning. She uses the following techniques in sessions; CBT, DBT, Solution-focused, Brief Therapy, faith-based counseling and creative/expressive arts to help people reach their desired goals.

She has a love for writing and the theatre arts. She has written, directed, and produced multiple theater productions. She enjoys teaching and conducting mental health seminars. Theresa has conducted various seminars with topics such as (Deadly Addictions in the Church, Speak Life: Suicide Prevention for the faith-based community, Depression & Suicide in Teens; Crisis Management for Youth Workers, How to Handle Irate clients (workplace seminar), and more.
